Is Online Gambling Legal in the US?

However, the United State has refused to change its position on the issue.

While many websites claim to be safe, a good rule of thumb is to be careful. Any site with a dubious history may be malicious. It will try to infect your computer or lock it and demand money. It may also copy your information or record keystrokes. In addition, online gambling is a risky hobby that can cause damage to your computer. Although the US Supreme Court upheld the ban on Internet gambling in 2012, prosecutors cannot prove that online gambling sites “knowingly” transmit bets from U.S. residents. Further, if you don’t live in the US, you can’t track your location when gambling online. Therefore, if you’re a U.S. citizen, it’s best to avoid online gambling. The legality of online gambling in the US is very questionable.
